FLORENCE LAVAL
A physiotherapist and facialist with more than two decades of experience in manual therapies, Florence Laval is the founder of Florence Laval Studios in The Hague and Paris.
Her work is deeply influenced by the Japanese art of touch and its sense of precision, refinement and subtlety. Particularly devoted to Kobido, she followed a long and rigorous apprenticeship with a 26th-generation Kobido Master, which profoundly shaped her approach to facial massage.
Her fascination with Japanese techniques has also led her to explore Hinokibō , Kodama and Kinubiyou, alongside extensive training in a wide range of facial, body and holistic techniques.
Through the Facelift Holistic Experience- Academy, Florence shares her expertise with other professionals, offering advanced training and developing bespoke protocols for spas, institutes and brands.
Florence also enjoys taking part in international massage championships, meeting masters and practitioners from around the world and finding new inspiration to continually enrich her practice.
I am happy to announce my ranking in the 7th World Massage Championship 2024.
I achieved fifth place in the facial massage category.
Following the performances of my colleagues was incredibly enriching. The level of skill and talent from both the participants and the teacher demonstrations was truly inspiring. I’m incredibly proud and joyful to have achieved fifth place.
I’m passionate about preparing and creating new massage protocols; it’s incredibly exciting and motivates me to bring out my best. I truly love my profession and am grateful for every opportunity to grow and showcase my skills.
